What is cold laser therapy?

Cold laser therapy is a laser therapy treatment of low intensity that stimulates healing by using low levels of light. The low levels of light will not heat your body tissue and hence this technique is called cold laser therapy. When compared to other laser therapy that is used for destroying tumors and coagulates tissue, the level of light in this laser therapy is low.
Cold therapy is also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT), Low-power laser therapy (LPLT), Soft laser biostimulation, photobiomodulation.
What is the procedure of laser therapy?
The target area is identified and then various wavelengths and low-level light are applied directly to that area. The light is then absorbed by the tissue. Due to the red and near-infrared light, the tissues start reacting and the damaged cells respond with a physiological reaction which helps to regenerate the cells.
The process is painless and noninvasive. Also, you will not feel any sort of vibration or heat and there won’t be any sound. Each of the treatments hardly takes only a few minutes.
