Spinal Decompression Therapy is a highly recommended therapy for people who are suffering from back pain and/or leg pain. This therapy focuses on stretching the spine to relieve pressure off the vertebrae. Once the tension is released from the vertebrae, the discs that were either bulging or herniated can return to normal. Hence, the release of pressure eases the flow of water, oxygen, and nutrients to your discs, allowing them to heal faster.
Spinal traction stretches the spine in order to get rid off pressure from compressed discs. This will straighten the spine and ease the muscle pain. During the process, negative intradiscal pressure will be experienced that will pull the herniated disc material back into the disc and promotes the passage of healing nutrients into the disc.
Indications include:
- Sciatica
- Herniated (degenerative disc disease)
- Bulging disc
- Diseased spinal nerve roots
- Muscle spasm at the neck and low back
